All the reviews and interviews

We've been doing so many interviews! On top of the five we did before the launch, we spoke to-
Professor Jimbles (voice)
The Hardboiled GM Shoe (chatroom) (warning, this interview contains MAJOR SPOILERS which players may not wish to read!)
and
the lovely folks at Sydney Roleplaying Game Association.
They run SydCon and EyeCon every year and Tin Star Games will be out at EyeCon this coming weekend running more games of Relics! We tested the game there a year ago and now we get to return and show people how far its come! Come and say hi - and remember if you post a selfie with your angel wings on and tag us in, you can win your pledge free!
And - yes, still more! - we launched our new Relics podcast, EARTHLY TREASURES. This is an actual play podcast where four plucky angels are on the run across the globe to stop their angelic rival from getting powerful Relics. I'm the voice of the rules but everything else comes from other people so you can see exactly how the game works in play - and get a good laugh as well!
Still trying to convince your friends to back? Not sure if you should increase your pledge? Then let us help with more reviews and interviews!
Text review of the beta rules from Dice and Dex
Voice interview with Insert Quest Here
Video interview with Cool Crowdfunding
And we were also mentioned by Tabletop Gaming News and 411Mania which is great because people are picking up the story on their own! People are excited about Relics which is fantastic because so are we!

Meet the Missions: The Sword of Wrath

Evil is evil. Demons are demons. Any discussion is equivocation. Is appeasement. Of an enemy that will never grant a concession or give quarter. An enemy that only lives for destruction. We're not a faction, really. We're just getting on with it.

Meet the Missions: The Helm of Salvation

Please don't call them arrogant. That is a small human word for people who are elevated above their station. Being aware of your station and understanding what it means is not arrogance, it is simple logic.

Meet the Missions: The Shield of Faith

Humans have great potential, but they have great weaknesses as well. The Armour thinks they can be a friend and nudge them along, but humans need more than a friend. They need a great shield to protect them, and great teachers to guide them.

Meet the Missions: The Armour of Righteousness

The Armour have a lot in common with other Missions: they work with humans like the Shield and Boots. They fight demons like the Sword, hunt Relics like the Belt. So much so they are mocked by the others for being the default. The choice of angels too lazy to make an actual choice. The Armour would respond but there's no point, the other Missions are just regretting their choices and wish they were the Armour.

The Belt believe in knowledge. Some people act like that's a bad thing.

Meet the Missions: The Boots of Humility

The heart of Relics are the six earthly missions. These factions are based on how angels - disconnected from God's great plan - conceived of their role on earth. It drives their actions and shapes their loyalties. Which one will you join?

Dan the Man

We can now confirm that Dan Smith, also known by his artistic signature, "Smif" will be joining the Relics art team.

Dan Smith has been producing art for the game industry for over twenty years and is one of the most striking and exciting artists in the field. What's more, Dan was a huge part of the unique look of the game In Nomine, from Steve Jackson Games. Ever since we announced Relics, people have of course brought up In Nomine. Surprisingly, angel and demon games are quite rare in roleplaying canon, and In Nomine and its French antecedents stand alone in their exciting take on the subject matter and their unique sense of humour and whimsy. We cannot ever claim Relics would replace or succeed in In Nomine's legacy, but we do hope to capture some of its amazing quality and stature. In Nomine was a huge influence on Relics, and much of what we loved about that game is reflected in ours.

In fact, it's true to say that without In Nomine, there would be no Relics. I've been interested in angels all my life, but In Nomine was a big part of what kicked my passion into high gear. Especially the art by Dan. The picture above (of an angel that of a band the game calls the Elohim)  caught my eye so much I had it on my wall. And I copied the fashion. I had a white linen suit I called my angel outfit.

So to have Dan Smith come onto Relics feels like a fever dream. It feels like recognition that we are a worthy successor to In Nomine, and have a connection to it, a continuation of its legacy. We are so proud and excited Dan is joining us and can't wait to show you some of his art for us as we approach the Kickstarter.

Who is Rachel?

Who is Rachel?
Rachel was one of the first pieces of art we commissioned for Relics, although she didn't have a name at the time. We liked the image so much we knew she had to have a backstory - and she has been our cover image since we began promotion back in 2016! Don't worry, we do have some other amazing art to show you, but Rachel is very special to us. She's also one of the iconic characters you'll see throughout the rulebook, and in the fiction. And if you follow us on Instagram, you can read another story of Rachel there.

Rachel is an Isha, the angels of communication and speaking. Her Herald is Barachiel, the angel of Intercession. Her Mission is the Boots of Humility, the angels that believe their kind are supposed to blend in and be invisible to the mortals around them, although she has strong contacts with the Belt of Truth and strong leanings towards the Armour of Righteousness. We'll explain more about what all those things mean as we get closer to the kickstarter - and of course in the fiction.

Start following Rachel's story today!
